An uncommon work devoted to the advancements in carbon printing technology by Joseph Wilson Swan, written by Edward Wilson, who was at the time of publication the editor of The Philadelphia Photographer. The book includes a photographic frontispiece using Swan’s process, printed by Wenderoth, Taylor and Brown in Philadelphia, which is present here in fine condition. Reproduced in Arno’s Literature of Photography series, original copies are uncommon in presentable condition.
