The memoirs of Jermiah O’Donovan Rossa, written while he was in exile after leaving Ireland to come to the United States as part of the “Cuba 5.” Besides the autobiographical content, the book also contains sections on Irish culture, the Fenian Movement, and his travels in England, Scotland and America. The book was published in Mariner’s Harbor in Staten Island, where O’Donovan Rossa would life until his death in 1915.
