A photograph of the staff at Asheville’s historic Grove Park Inn, taken c. 1910-1920 by the photographer Herbert W. Pelton, who operated a studio in Asheville and took many pictures around the region. Among the staff pictured is William Prince Brooks, who was active in the AME Zion church and who served as head waiter at the inn. The hotel was furnished by the Roycrofters and was built in the Arts and Crafts style. Still operation, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
