A scarce pair of positional papers published by the Shirley Chisholm campaign, outlining her positions on foreign aid and the Middle East. During the campaign, Chisholm consistently affirmed Israel’s right to exist and defend itself, aligning with other Democratic views of the era; however, distinctively for a major presidential candidate in 1972, Chisholm emphasized that Palestinians were a displaced people with legitimate political and human rights claims.
