The November 3, 1912, supplement to the Sunday Record-Herald newspaper, published in Chicago. Unrelated to the contents of the magazine, the cover features a full color illustration of a young woman with a group of celebrating people, holding a banner with the word “VOTE” on it. The illustration was made by cartoonist and pulp magazine illustrator Patrick J. Monahan (1882–1931). The son of Irish immigrants to Iowa, Monahan studied at the Des Moines Academy of Art under Charles Atherton Cumming before moving to the east coast to pursue magazine illustration.
